I'm sorry you didn't get a parade when you came home from Vietnam, but I want you to know how proud I am of your service to our country. If I had known you then, I would have been there waiting to put my arms around you when you got off that plane!

Without your bravery and courage, we would not have the wonderful country we have today. Thanks to your sacrifices, America is still a Land of opportunity for all, free from tyranny and oppression, with liberty and justice for all. We are not perfect, but we are a country that remains Blessed by GOD. Every time that Flag flies, know that there are millions of Americans grateful to you and your service!
