i got this song on a cassette tape called Marburo Country Hits that came with a carton of Marburo cigarettes when i was in Tennesse back in 1985, ten years before it was finally heard and accepted to be one of America's favorite songs. i have played it since 1985 on every patriotic day we celebrate. i was never so proud to be an American until i heard this song. i swell with more American pride every time i hear it ! God Bless America!!!
